Retro Sounds Made for Serum

The presets focus on classic 80s character. The basses are described as warm and crunchy, the leads as digital, and the keys as FM-style. Sci-fi sound effects round out the set.

Each patch was designed from the ground up rather than adapted from existing sounds. The developer notes that the modulation options in Serum are used throughout the collection to shape movement and texture.

What Is Inside the Pack

The pack contains 81 presets: 22 bass, 18 keys, 13 pad, 12 lead, 8 SFX, 4 drum and 4 pluck. Alongside them are 77 MIDI files, each paired with a preset and containing its own melody, and 78 WAV loops rendered from the patches and MIDI files.

The WAV loops make it easy to audition sounds and drop them straight into a project. The MIDI files give you a starting melody to edit or re-voice in your own patches.
