Melodic Tech for Serum is a synth preset pack for Xfer Serum v1 or v2 from The Tone Foundry, containing 50 presets plus 50 bonus WAV files for techno and tech house production.
Melodic Tech for Serum is a preset collection built around the sound of modern techno and house. The developer describes the pack as blending moody melodics, rhythmic sequences and textured synths. It is organized into 15 basses, 15 synths, five each of leads, plucks, sequences and FX, so producers can find a starting point for most parts of a track. The pack includes a teaser download for those who want to hear the sounds before buying.
The pack contains 50 presets for Xfer Serum, split across several categories. Fifteen are bass presets and fifteen are synth presets, with five each for leads, plucks, sequences and FX.
The pack also includes 50 bonus WAV files. These are useful as additional sound material alongside the synth patches. The developer notes that the drum loops and vocals heard in the demo track are not part of the download.
According to The Tone Foundry, the pack is aimed at underground groove producers and those working on techno and tech-house tracks. The presets cover basslines, melodic leads and rhythmic plucks, which map onto the core elements of those genres.
Because the pack is built for Serum, it works best for producers who already use that synth as their main instrument and want a ready-made palette of sounds to adapt.
