Nu Tech is a preset collection of production kits by Niche Audio, built for Maschine and Ableton Live. It blends house and techno elements into drums, chords and basslines with a raw, edgy feel.
Nu Tech is a Maschine expansion from Niche Audio that also includes Ableton Live content. The collection focuses on house and techno, aiming to bridge the gap between the two genres. Each kit and project loads with conceptual MIDI patterns, so you can audition the sounds in context right away. The developer also positions the pack as suitable for Tech House, Drum and Bass, Trap, Electronica and Glitch Hop productions.
Niche Audio describes Nu Tech as a fusion of several house and techno styles that stays familiar while sounding edgy. The sounds range from deep to sometimes raw, which suits producers who want to move between the two genres or push a track in a new direction.
The pack includes drums, chords and basslines. The developer says the sounds come from a mix of hardware and software sources, combined inside the host software.
For Maschine 2.4+, Nu Tech includes 12 projects, 15 kits and 234 samples at 24-bit/44.1 kHz.
For Ableton Live 9.6+, the pack includes 12 projects, 15 drum racks, 39 instrument racks and the same 234 samples. The projects give you a starting point for arrangement and let you hear each sound in a finished musical context.
