01Overview

Niche Kore is a Maschine expansion from Niche Audio aimed at house, tech house and techno producers. The pack collects over five years of Niche Audio releases into one library of roughly 5,500 loops and samples and 200 kits. Niche Audio says the first 100 kits are new and exclusive to Kore, with the remaining 100 selected from more than 60 earlier Maschine expansion packs. The library is 2.7GB in size and is built around ready-to-use drum, bass and chord material.

What's Inside the Kore Sample Library

The library is organized by sound type. It includes 459 bass samples, 992 chord and analog synth sounds, and 301 kicks. Drum content is extensive, with 709 claps, rims and snares, 899 hi-hats and cymbals, and 894 percussion samples such as congas and shakers.

There are also 146 loops and percussion grooves, 635 vocal and FX sounds, and 554 processed 808 and 909 samples. The processed drum samples are engineered with SSL and other processing, according to the developer's description.

Because the content is split this finely, you can build a complete house or techno groove from one pack without browsing several libraries.

Kits and Workflow in Maschine

Kore is designed to run inside Maschine. The 200 kits are a mix of new material and selections from earlier Niche Audio packs, so they give you starting points across house, tech house and techno styles. Niche Audio describes the kits as mixed and engineered for flexibility, which means you can reshape them rather than use them as fixed loops.

Use the kits as a foundation, then replace the kick, bass or percussion layers to fit your track. The large number of kicks, claps and percussion samples gives you room to swap elements without leaving the pack.
