MPC Expansion: Trap Soul & RnB is a sound expansion pack from AKAI, made by Laniakea Sounds, with 20 MPC Producer Kits for building trap soul and melodic RnB tracks on MPC.
This expansion pack from AKAI, developed with Laniakea Sounds, focuses on trap soul and melodic RnB. The developer describes the sounds as intimate and mellow, blending trap, RnB and chillout. The collection is built from the Laniakea Sounds sample packs and is organized into 20 MPC Producer Kits, each combining drums, loops and atmospheric textures. It is designed to be loaded directly into MPC for quick beat making.
The pack is weighted toward drum sounds, with 31 kicks, 36 snares, 15 claps, 65 hats and cymbals, 39 percussion sounds and 16 snaps and effects. It also includes 16 808s, giving you bass and low-end options for trap-influenced patterns.
The kits sit inside MPC Producer Kits, so drum elements, loops and effects are grouped for fast sketching rather than scattered across folders.
Beyond drums, the expansion contains 44 melodic loops and 53 vocal FX. The developer describes the loops as elegant and the vocal material as ethereal, with vocal chops and atmospheres meant to add texture to melodic RnB and chill-leaning productions.
Use the loops as a starting point for chord-based ideas, then layer the vocal FX and SFX for transitions and ambience.
