The developer built the sounds from a range of synthesizers and recorded some of them through an older Technics tape deck, adding warm tape overdrive to the signal. The pack includes 375 samples totaling 685 MB of content, and each program comes with an audio preview so you can audition it before loading. Sound Sources and Tape Character

Beat says the sound bank draws on synths including the Mercury, MiniMoog, Roland SH-101, JP-8000 and Juno 60, along with other instruments used for the latest sound bank.

For part of the library, the developer ran the synths through its old Technics deck to add tape overdrive. The result is a set of basses, leads and pads with a warmer, saturated character than the raw synth recordings would have.

The programs are organized as keygroups, so each sound can be played across the pads or keys of your MPC.

What Is Inside the Expansion

The pack contains 75 keygroup programs and 375 samples, with 685 MB of content in total. Audio previews are included for each sound, which helps when you are browsing a large set of programs.

The expansion is aimed at synthwave and retro-style production, where tape-colored synth tones fit the genre. Because the content is delivered as an MPC expansion, it loads into the MPC workflow directly rather than as a separate plugin.
