Main Stage Techno Vol. 1 for Serum 2: Techno Preset Pack by Resonance Sound

The 64 presets are spread across several categories. There are 22 bass patches, 19 leads, 7 plucks, 3 brass, 3 chords, 2 pianos, 2 FX, 2 synth patches and 4 arpeggios.

The bass and lead sections are the largest, which suits producers building techno and related club tracks. The developer says the basses range from hard techno designs to PSY rolls, and the leads include euphoric melodic sounds and festival-style synths.

For each preset, the macro and modwheel assignments are meant to make quick changes to timbre and movement without digging deep into the synth menus.

Beyond the presets, the pack includes 57 WAV samples and 20 MIDI files. The developer says some of the samples were extracted from tracks by Level 8 that have been streamed widely and played in festival sets.

The MIDI files give you ready-made note patterns to pair with the presets, which can speed up sketching a melody or bassline. The samples are not the full drum and FX material heard in the audio demo, so plan on sourcing kicks and percussion separately if you need them.
