Lithium (Flite Expansion) is a preset expansion pack by Wavea for the Flite instrument. It contains 40 presets built from multi-samples of original analog synths, spanning IDM, cinematic and film styles.
Lithium is a sound expansion for Flite, the instrument it requires to run. Wavea built it from hundreds of multi-samples recorded from vintage hardware, including the Korg MS20, UDO-6 and Jupiter 6. The 40 presets cover full sampled drum kits, sequenced arpeggios, acid bass patches, soulful chords, brooding subs and drones. Each preset offers eight custom macros and full modulation and aftertouch control, so the sounds can be shaped in performance as well as in editing.
The core of Lithium is its bundled sound library. Wavea recorded hundreds of multi-samples from rare and vintage instruments, and the developer says the set includes the Korg MS20, UDO-6 and Jupiter 6, among others.
The pack is built around organic, evolving pads, ambiences and effects. The presets range from bubbly acid bass to slow drones, so the library covers both rhythmic and atmospheric material.
Every one of the 40 presets includes eight custom macros. These let you map several parameters to one control, which helps when you want to sweep a sound during a set or arrangement without opening the editor.
Full modulation and aftertouch controls are included, so you can respond to playing dynamics and tailor movement within each patch.
Lithium is labeled as multi-genre. The presets are aimed at IDM and electronic production, and at cinematic, film and trailer-style scoring. Drum kits, arpeggios and bass sounds suit electronic tracks, while pads, ambiences and drones suit scoring and sound design.
