01Overview

Idylls is the first expansion made exclusively for Flite. Its 40 presets cover atmospheric soundscapes, haunting pads and evolving chords, along with organic FX and soaring leads and plucks. The pack was built from original multi-samples and is designed to fit cinematic, electronic, soundtrack, leftfield house and hip-hop work. Presets come from Sharooz Raoofi, Matthew B. Carter and JKSL.

Sound Design and Source Material

The pack ships with a bundled sound library of about 528MB of multi-samples. Wavea says these were recorded from rare vintage analog synthesizers, including the ARP 2600, Elka Synthex and a Fender 1965 Jazzmaster.

The presets focus on pads, chords, atmospheric soundscapes and found-sound effects. Ambient textures are described as processed through hardware outboard gear, giving the material a organic, evolving character.

Controls, Macros and Modulation

Each preset includes 8 custom macros, so the main tonal changes can be shaped from a single set of controls. Full modulation and aftertouch assignments are included, which allows expressive performance changes while playing.

Because the presets are built around macros and modulation, they work as starting points for sound design as well as ready-to-use sounds for arrangements.
