03In depth

Kits, Patterns and One-Shot Samples

The pack includes 15 Neuro-style Dubstep kits, with hard kicks, punchy snares and bass sounds forming the core of the selection. Each kit comes with 75 patterns, so you can build on the provided loops or program your own.

If you prefer to work from individual sounds, all of the pack's sounds are also included as 24-bit/44.1 kHz WAV one-shots and sampler patches. These let you assemble your own kits or drop the material into existing projects.

The kits are professionally balanced and mixed, so they are usable straight out of the box and need little setup before you start arranging.

Compatibility and Use in Dubstep and EDM

Hyper Dubstep is a Maschine expansion, and the full contents require Maschine 2+ and Ableton Live 9+. The Ableton Live version includes 5 starter projects and 15 drum racks, while the Maschine 2+ version includes fully tagged projects, groups and samples to make custom kit design easier.

Niche Audio says the sounds also suit the harder side of EDM, including Drumstep, Electro, Glitch-hop, Complextro and Drum and Bass. Any live processing in the pack is handled by the built-in effects and processors of the host software, which you can edit.
