Hybrid 3 Expansion: Urban Voyages by Snipe Young is a preset expansion pack of 50 urban patches for AIR Music Technology's Hybrid 3 virtual synth. It covers hard-hitting subs, haunting leads, rhythmic synth grooves and cinematic pads.
Urban Voyages is a preset collection built for Hybrid 3, the virtual synth from AIR Music Technology. Snipe Young, a West Coast hip hop producer and sound designer, created the 50 patches, which follow his earlier pack Dark Parallax. The sounds are aimed at popular urban styles and draw on his credits on several recent hit records. The pack suits producers who want ready-made starting points for heavy low end, lead lines and atmospheric textures without building each sound from scratch.
The pack contains 50 custom-built patches made for urban and hip hop production. The developer describes the collection as covering ferocious subs, haunting leads, edgy rhythmic synth grooves and cinematic pads.
The patches are intended to add power, drama and impact to a track. Because they are presets for Hybrid 3, each one can be loaded as a starting point and adjusted to fit the arrangement.
Urban Voyages fits producers working in hip hop and related urban genres who already own Hybrid 3. The bass and lead sounds suit beat-making, while the synth grooves and pads can cover melodic and background parts.
Snipe Young is a Grammy-nominated sound designer, and Urban Voyages continues the Special Producer Series that began with Dark Parallax. Producers who liked that earlier pack will find the same approach in this one.
