01Overview

Hybrid 3 Expansion: Fresh Energy is a sound bank of 200 presets built for AIR Music Technology's Hybrid 3. The presets were designed by Che from Sonic Sirius and target dance, trance and electro production. Because the pack contains only presets, it adds new starting points to Hybrid 3 rather than new synthesizers. It is distributed as a royalty-free expansion, so the sounds can be used in your productions without paying per-track fees. Its 4 MB size makes it a light addition to an existing Hybrid 3 setup.

Preset Content for Dance, Trance and Electro

Sonic Sirius, the sound design group behind the pack, is described by its developer as having produced highly regarded sound sets since 2001. Fresh Energy focuses on the modern synth styles listed in its genre tags: dance, trance, electro and modern synth music.

The bank holds 200 presets. Sound categories are named with abbreviations in the pack, including bass, lead, pad, keys, sequenced sounds and effects, so you can scan for the type of sound you need. This makes the pack practical when you want a quick palette of genre-appropriate sounds for a track.

Compatibility and What You Need

Fresh Energy is an expansion pack for Hybrid 3 and is not a standalone instrument. It is built for Hybrid 3 v2.0.4 and runs only inside Hybrid 3, which must be installed first. The pack is delivered in TFX format.

Because it contains presets only, no additional synthesizers are included. If you already use Hybrid 3, this is an easy way to expand the sound palette without learning a new instrument.
