01Overview

E-lec-tro Waves is an expansion pack for AIR Music Hybrid 3 from AIR Music Technology. It contains 100 presets created by Che from Sonic Sirius, a sound design studio that has been making sound sets since 2001. The presets target dance, trance and electro production, and the pack is labeled as covering modern synth music more broadly. Because it only contains presets, it adds sounds to Hybrid 3 rather than new synthesizers. The pack is 2 MB in size and is licensed as 100% royalty-free.

Presets for Dance, Trance and Electro Production

The pack is built around 100 presets for dance, trance and electro styles. The developer describes the sounds as fresh and energetic. The preset names use abbreviations for categories, including BS for bass, LD for lead, PD for pad, Key for keys, SEQ for sequenced patterns and FX for effects, so you can quickly find the type of sound you need.

Because the pack is made for Hybrid 3, the presets rely on the synthesis engine already in that instrument. You load them the same way as any other Hybrid 3 preset and can then edit them within the instrument.

Licensing and Use in Your Productions

E-lec-tro Waves is listed as 100% royalty-free, so you can use the sounds in your tracks without paying per-use fees. The developer notes that the sound bank may not be resold for a profit, so it should be used in your own music rather than redistributed as a product.

The pack suits producers who already own Hybrid 3 and want a ready set of genre-oriented starting points for dance, trance and electro projects.
