Hybrid 3 Expansion: Dark Vibes by Felix Bernhardt is a preset expansion pack for AIR Music Technology's Hybrid 3 synth, containing 54 sounds for arps, bass, leads, pads and FX.
Hybrid 3 Expansion: Dark Vibes is a preset collection created by German DJ, producer and sound designer Felix Bernhardt. It requires AIR Music Technology's Hybrid 3 and is built around 54 custom presets covering arps, bass, leads, pads and FX. The pack is intended for producers who want ready-made starting points for their own tracks, with a focus on house, tech-house and techno grooves while remaining usable across the wider spectrum of dance music.
The pack contains 54 presets spread across several sound categories: arpeggios, basses, leads, pads and FX. Each preset is designed as a starting point, so you can load a sound and shape it to fit your arrangement.
The categories cover the core elements of a dance track. Arps and basses give you rhythmic and low-end material, while leads and pads provide melodic and harmonic layers, and the FX presets add transitions and texture.
Felix Bernhardt designed the collection with house, tech-house and techno grooves in mind. The presets are a good fit for producers working in these styles who want darker, groove-oriented sounds to build on.
The developer notes that the sounds are not limited to these genres and can be used across the broader spectrum of dance music. Because the pack is aimed at instant inspiration, it suits sketching ideas and filling out a studio session as much as finishing a track.
