Sound Palette and Sample Layout

Each of the 15 kits contains 16 samples covering processed drums, piercing basses, hard-hitting wobbles and mid tones, chords, vocal hits and special FX. Niche Audio says the sounds are one-shots that use choke groups, so a sound is cut off the moment another pad is triggered. This makes it practical to jam with a pad controller or keyboard.

Two special kits gather vocal hits and FX samples that can be layered with the main kits. The developer says the pack was designed around a tempo of 140 BPM, though any tempo can be used.

Workflow with Maschine and Ableton Live

The 13 colour-coded projects give you a starting arrangement you can change quickly. You can edit MIDI notes, swap samples and build a new kit and pattern in minutes.

The Ableton Live version includes 13 Live sets, 15 custom drum racks, 240 samples and 65 MIDI patterns. The Maschine version includes 15 kits, 13 projects, 240 samples and 65 patterns.
