Kit contents and sound palette for deep house

Deep Tone contains 13 kits with 16 samples each, plus 2 special kits. The core kits cover processed drums, omni percussion, smooth pads and chords, subsonic basses, and glitched vocals and effects. The two special kits add synth tones and sound effects that can be layered with the main kits.

The collection includes 241 one-shot samples and 120 patterns across 13 project files. Niche Audio says the kits draw on the classic 1990s deep house scene as well as more current sounds.

Maschine and Ableton Live workflow

Each kit is provided in both Maschine and Ableton Live formats. The kits use onboard effects and compression, and each includes subtle mix and effects settings intended to keep the kit playable and balanced in the mix.

The project files include patterns that show how the sounds can be combined. You can use them as a reference for balance or as a base to change and build on.
