03In depth

Sound and Character of the Chilled Trap Samples

The sounds lean toward a relaxed, downtempo mood. The developer describes the pack as featuring celestial pads, long reverbs and spaced-out delays, paired with deep, boomy trap elements.

The library includes one-shot pads, chord hits, deep sub bass, vocal hits, hard-hitting drums, stabs and FX. Together these cover the main building blocks of a chilled trap or downtempo beat, from the low end and drums to atmospheric layers and accents.

Because the sounds are organized into kits and projects, you can start a track from a finished-sounding palette instead of building every element from scratch.

Workflow with Maschine and Ableton Live

Maschine users get 15 tagged and color-coded groups, along with 15 starter projects. Each project includes MIDI patterns that let you audition the sounds in a musical context before editing them.

Ableton Live users get 15 starter projects and 15 drum racks. The drum racks give you a ready-made way to play and reshape the kit sounds inside Live.

All content is royalty free, and the samples and patterns can be tweaked, layered and rearranged to fit your own track.
