Solar is a 100-preset soundset built for the Arturia Jup-8V, a software emulation of the analog synthesizer Arturia based on the 1980s Roland flagship. The presets cover deep and wide basses, plucks, leads, pads, atmospheric textures and creative effects. Sound Palette and Character

The collection is organized into Atmo, Bass, Key, Lead, Pad, Pluck and Sequence categories, with 23 leads, 26 basses and 17 pads among the 100 presets. Resonance Sound describes the basses and plucks as using the Jup-8V's cross-modulation, and the pads and leads as lush and space-filling.

According to the developer, the sounds were recorded without additional post-processing such as EQ or compression, so the presets are meant to sit into a mix with minimal adjustment. Only a sidechain tool and a freely available reverb were used in some demo examples.

Workflow and Installation

Each preset is tagged in the Jup-8V Preset Browser according to its sonic character, which makes it easier to find a bass, pluck or pad by mood. The modwheel is pre-assigned on the presets.

The package includes a detailed installation guide. The presets work only with Jup-8V version 4.2.1.1843 or later and are not compatible with V3 or older versions.
