MIMIC-2 Vanguard 2 Presets & Skins is a preset pack of 75 sounds and 10 user interface skins for the reFX Vanguard 2 synthesizer. It requires Vanguard 2 version 2.1.10 or later.
This Resonance Sound pack is built for reFX Vanguard 2, a digital synthesizer. The 75 presets cover bass, lead, pad, plucked and arpeggio sounds, with a focus on modern house and techno production. The developer also notes that the sounds work for ambient and cinematic material. The package includes 10 redesigned UI skins, several inspired by classic synthesizers, and the FX section sits at the bottom of the interface for a streamlined workflow.
Resonance Sound says Vanguard 2 has a distinctive digital edge, offering an alternative to the many analog-modeled synths on the market. The pack leans on that character to produce sounds that cut through dense mixes while keeping a nostalgic tone.
The 75 presets are distributed across categories: 18 bass sounds, 15 leads, 15 pads, 9 plucked sounds, 6 synth sounds, 3 arpeggios, 3 atmospheres, 2 chords, and one each of FX sound, guitar, organ and sequence.
The pack includes 10 UI skins. Resonance Sound describes them as inspired by legendary synthesizers from the past, and the layouts have been revised, with the FX section moved to the bottom of the panel.
The skins are rendered at maximum scale to look sharp on high-resolution displays.
