01Overview

100% Acid Vol.2 is a preset expansion for the Abx3 synth, built around the acid sound. Audio Blast designed the bank to cover a wider range of acid styles than its earlier collection, from deep acid house grooves to harder acid techno and faster acid core sounds. The focus is on basses and leads that are meant to drive a track rather than sit in the background, so it suits producers who want the classic squelchy character without building every patch from scratch.

03In depth

Acid bass and lead presets for Abx3

The pack contains 128 presets for Abx3, split between basses and leads. The basses cover the deep, rolling tones associated with acid house and the tighter, more aggressive sounds used in acid techno. The leads are aimed at the high-energy lines that define acid core.

Because every preset is an Abx3 patch, you can load one as a starting point and adjust filter, envelope and drive to fit your arrangement. The bank works as a set of sound sources to build from rather than finished loops.

Bonus loops and who the pack is for

The pack also includes 128 8-bar loops. The loops are built to match the acid styles in the preset bank, including rolling basslines and repeating acid sequences, so they can be dropped straight into a track as a sketch or a foundation.

The pack is aimed at producers making acid house, acid techno or acid core who already use Abx3. Because it is an expansion for that synth, it is not a standalone instrument and needs a licensed copy of Abx3 to load.
