Sound Source and Character of the Clay Conch Wind Instrument
Yocsoro is built around a clay wind instrument shaped like a conch shell. Its design uses one mouthpiece hole for the flow of air and a second, smaller hole for fingering, which defines the playing approach captured in the samples.
Sounds of the Earth says the instrument is a replica of an ancestral piece. That origin gives the library a distinct, acoustic character suited to producers who want organic, non-Western-tuned wind textures rather than conventional orchestral winds.
