Sound and Character of the Reed Electric Piano
Sampleson says Wursy was built to recreate a reed electric piano through synthesis, a method it presents as the approach used before samplers became common. According to the developer, the instrument produces a lot of harmonic content and changes in tone across the octaves, so the sound does not stay identical from note to note.
The developer describes the result as a very expressive electric piano. Because the sound is synthesized, its character comes from the synthesis model itself rather than from recorded samples.
