Vocoflex works by taking a target voice, either imported from a voice sample as short as 10 seconds or generated from a chosen gender and tone, and applying its timbre to any input voice. Voice Transformation Controls

Vocoflex turns each imported voice into a curve, where every dot represents a small chunk of the input file. An X/Y pad lets you adjust the gender of a voice, and a color picker and hue randomizer change its timbre. You can share the hex code of a voice with others.

The light cursor is the main performance tool. Voices under the light are added together, while those in shadow are subtracted from the rest. Adjusting pitch and gain while moving the cursor creates a range of voice effects in real time. Waypoints on the curves can be mapped to MIDI buttons, knobs or sliders for more tactile control than a mouse offers.

Vocoflex suits several production tasks. Producers can change a voice's gender, blend male and female voices into androgynous timbres, or create backing vocals from a lead vocal and the reverse.
