Retro Sound Engine and Character

At the core of Usynth PIXEL is a retro game multi-synthesis engine. UJAM describes it as covering the full range of parts, from basses and chords to melodies and arcade effects. The developer also points to Finisher FX, which add textures and modulation to shape the final sound.

The plugin includes built-in delay and reverb units, so spacing and ambience can be adjusted without leaving the instrument.

Controls and Workflow for Quick Sound Design

Usynth PIXEL uses five Vari knobs to reshape a patch. UJAM says these knobs let you change the sound quickly and add an element of surprise, without needing prior synth programming knowledge.

The browser and interface are designed to keep the workflow simple, with a set of 100 synthesizer presets and 100 global presets to start from. The 30 sequencer presets provide ready-made phrases for building a arrangement faster.
