Sound Character and Playing Technique
Udongo is a clay percussion idiophone played with the hands around its openings. Sounds of the Earth describes it as a hybrid of a ceramic udu and the design of bongos. The connecting channel between the two cavities is the feature the developer highlights for its sonic texture.
Because the sound comes from a physical clay vessel played by hand, the library suits percussion parts that need organic, handmade tone rather than synthetic or drum-machine sounds.
