Channels, Boosts and Speaker Pairings

The plugin offers the Normal, Brilliant and Vibrato channels from the original amp, so you can move between mellow, chiming and gritty tones with one switch. A Boost switch adds emulations of a '60s Dallas Rangemaster germanium treble booster and the preamp of a '70s Maestro EP-3 tape delay.

Six cabinet setups are included. They pair Celestion speakers in 2x12 and 1x12 configurations with 57, 160 ribbon and 421 microphones, and they are described as mic'd in a studio layout with room sound.

Presets and Typical Use

Universal Audio includes a set of presets covering genres such as rock, pop, country and funk. They can be used as starting points for recording, or the controls can be adjusted to fit your playing style.

The developer positions the amp for recording pop, rock, metal and country parts, among other styles.
