Universal Audio says it sourced the best ODS amps available, from early Santa Cruz units to later versions heard on well-known Los Angeles sessions. The plugin covers four decades of D-style tones, from clean to crunch, and includes a custom mode for building your own ODS circuit. It also adds nine curated cab and mic setups and more than 40 presets from artists and producers.
Universal Audio says the plugin captures the classic ODS sound across four decades of amp versions. The developer describes it as suited to both intricate chord work and expressive lead playing.
In Custom Mode you can build your own ODS circuit. You can start from four output tube and power supply setups, choose your preferred era of tone stack EQ, and add the Hot Rubber Monkey mod for overdrive and compression.
The plugin includes nine mic and speaker pairings based on classic studio setups. They include 1x12 and 4x12 cabinets with vintage ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones, so you can get a mix-ready tone without configuring mics yourself.
The library also includes more than 40 presets from Joey Landreth, Megan Lovell, Daniel Donato and others, covering styles such as blues and country.

UAD Enigmatic '82 is available in VST3, AU and AAX formats. It runs on Windows and macOS.
You need a supported DAW compatible with VST3, AU or AAX, a free iLok account, and an internet connection to download the software and authorize UAD Native plug-ins. The free UA Connect application is used to manage them. An iLok USB key is optional.
