Authentic Clay Ocarina Sound Library
The instrument is based on a zoomorphic clay ocarina with four finger holes. Its shape reflects a musical framework common in Mesoamerican tradition, and the piece sampled here was made in San Vicente, Guanacaste.
The library gives you a large set of recorded sample files, so you can play the ocarina as a Kontakt instrument rather than as a single fixed loop. Each note is captured as a separate sample file within the 2,814-file set.
Because the samples come from a physical clay instrument, the library suits projects that call for a rounded, handmade flute voice rather than a synthesized one.
