01Overview

Trinity Drums 2 is designed for producers who want to build drum parts from modular pieces rather than fixed loops. Each rhythmic theme is split into Low, Mid and High drum layers, which can be used on their own or combined. The sounds were built from percussion recordings and designs by BOOM Library, covering cinematic, electronic and funk-style grooves. Sonuscore presents it as an update to its earlier Trinity Drums instrument, with a new interface and a larger sound bank.

Layered Groove Design and Sound Character

The core idea of Trinity Drums 2 is to separate a groove into individual parts and let you decide how they are arranged. Every rhythmic theme is divided into three layers, Low, Mid and High Drums, each with a different level of rhythmic complexity.

The library includes large percussion instruments and drums, and Sonuscore says the rhythms range from massive drum hits and epic subs to softer, tension-building hits. The instrument also includes more than 1,000 variations and single hits designed by BOOM Library.

Because the layers can be mixed across different sound banks, you can build rhythms that do not come from a single preset.

Phrase Sync and Workflow in Kontakt

Phrase Sync Mode lets you swap and combine variations and layers while you play on a keyboard. According to Sonuscore, the instrument adjusts the timing of newly triggered grooves to match the rhythm you are currently playing, so changes stay in time.

The instrument supports multiple time signatures, and the preset browser has been improved in this version. The color scheme can be switched freely, and the earlier blue look is still available for users who prefer it.

The product runs inside the free Kontakt Player, so you can try it without a full Kontakt license.
