Multi-layer triggering and sample mixing

TRIGGER 2 Platinum uses a phase accurate, multi-layered triggering engine that can fire up to eight stereo samples at once. Developer Steven Slate Drums describes this as a way to combine a close mic sample, a stereo overhead sample and stereo room mic samples, or to build a custom sound from many direct mic samples.

The eight-channel sample mixer lets you layer multi-velocity samples in a single instance. Each layer has controls for velocity and dynamics, attack, sustain, release and level, so you can shape the final tone. You can also mix different drum samples together to create hybrid sounds.

Gate, leakage handling and MIDI workflow

The transient driven gate is designed to clean up tracks quickly and precisely. Leakage suppression lets you send spill tracks to the plugin so it can ignore leakage in a track, which allows very low velocity sample replacement without false triggers.

MIDI in and out lets you trigger audio from MIDI and convert audio tracks into MIDI tracks by drag and drop.
