01Overview

Tactic 2 is built around a master trigger sequencer that drives eight sample slots. Its sequencers control probability, parameter values and randomization on a per-step basis, so a pattern can change as it plays. The plugin ships with a factory bank of 400 percussion samples and sound effects and more than 100 factory presets. You can also load your own samples and route the output through its four effects busses or four direct outputs.

Sequencing and Sample Control

Tactic 2 uses a master trigger sequencer supported by four flexible sequencers. Per-step probability and per-step parameter values let you vary individual hits instead of repeating a fixed grid.

The randomizer panel can randomize nearly every parameter, either one at a time or in grouped sets. Almost every parameter is also available as an automation target, so you can build complex modulation through your host's automation system.

With eight sample slots, the plugin covers everything from subtle percussive grooves to experimental, glitchy patterns.

Effects Busses and Routing

Version 2 adds a four-bus effects system with two effect slots per bus and eight effects in total. Four direct outputs let you send sounds to your own effects chains in the host.

A master EQ and compressor sit at the output stage, and a shuffle control adds timing variation to the pattern.
