01Overview

Sonsig ACE is a stereo width effect built around a multi-voice, dual-engine design. Relab Development describes it as a dimensional expander for adding depth, spreading sounds across the stereo field and thickening sources. Its modulation is driven by six custom waveshaped LFOs, and its COLOR and ENRICH controls shape the character and spatial depth of the effect.

Stereo Width and Thickness Controls

ACE is designed to widen a mix without the comb filtering common to traditional chorus effects. Relab Development says the ENRICH parameter adds depth through a delay line design, expanding the stereo image as the value increases while keeping the core character of the sound.

The COLOR control modulates across frequencies to change the texture of the effect. The developer names modes including NATURAL, THICK and FAT, each giving a different tonal flavor. The plugin is intended to add thickness to sound sources while helping them hold up in mono.

Modulation and Factory Presets

The six hand-tuned LFOs are meant to keep the modulation locked in even at high settings, which Relab Development says helps avoid phase problems and syncing issues typical of standard chorus effects. Settings range from subtle stereo enhancement to swirling textures.

ACE ships with factory presets created by the developer. They are intended as starting points for mixing, and can be adjusted from there.
