Sound Source and Recording Options
Sabak is a sample-based instrument, so its character comes from the recorded hand drum rather than from synthesis. The developer describes the instrument as built from an acoustic percussion source with a bitter cedar or balsa body and a snake-skin top, which gives it a dry, wooden-cupped voice typical of hand percussion.
The library includes eight Kontakt microphone options. Switching between them lets you shape the sound's perspective and tonal balance without loading a different instrument, which is useful when you need the drum to sit close and dry in one arrangement and more ambient in another.
With 210 Kontakt sample files and 38 audio files, the library gives you enough material to program patterns that avoid obvious repetition.
