Spring Character and Sound Shaping
Spring reverbs are often described as bouncy or ringy, with a low-end emphasis that comes from their mechanical design. RO-SPR gives you six modeled spring types, each with its own character, covering several decades of hardware use.
The three-band EQ is the main tool for taming that low-end weight. Cut the bass where it muddies a mix, or lift it when you want the dense, boomy quality that many engineers used on guitars, vocals and synths.
Adjustable gain staging lets you set the input level before processing and the output level after it, so you can keep the spring's color without overloading the signal.
