MIDI Sampling and Pad Workflow

Slice to Pads and Auto-Slice to Pads chop MIDI files into phrases or drum hits and map them to pads, either manually or automatically. Pads update in real time as you change tempo or filter notes and drum elements.

Auto Pad Name Analysis names each pad from the MIDI it contains and analyzes detected chords and scales, which keeps large grids organized. Drag-and-drop export moves edited clips into your DAW.

Harmony, Scale and Transpose Tools

Scale Sync ties browsed MIDI to your project's tonic and scale. When the project key or global transposition changes, the clips adjust to fit the new key. Global Transpose shifts the whole project up or down and shows the current pitch shift.

Scale to Pads analyzes the harmony of the pads in your grid and suggests scales that fit your loaded sequences, which can then be mapped to your MIDI controller for improvising melodies or bass lines.
