Opto compression for multi-channel mixes

The compression engine at the heart of PSP auralComp is a high-quality opto compressor. It processes up to 16 channels per multi-channel input bus, and each channel has its own set of familiar controls and metering.

When several channels need the same treatment, you can group them and adjust their settings together. This keeps related channels consistent in an immersive mix without setting each one by hand.

PSP Audioware developed the plugin in partnership with immersive audio engineer Ronald Prent, who contributed his experience with analog multi-channel dynamics processors and consoles.

Speaker layouts, side chains and linking

PSP auralComp offers Quick Select options for many immersive configurations, from 5.1 up to 7.1.4, so you can set up your speaker layout in one click. For stereo material, you can switch to Mid-Side processing.

Eight individual side chain submixes come with advanced side chain filtering, which gives you control over what drives the compression on each path. An advanced linking mechanism lets you tie channels together, and an output brick wall limiter provides final peak control.
