Sound Design With the SIGNAL Pulse Engine

Each of the 500 Pulse Instruments includes four central MACRO sliders, which are set up separately for every instrument. Because the sliders change per instrument, you can shape the sound quickly without opening a deep parameter tree.

The bundle combines analog synths, digital synths and organic instruments in one set of sounds. Developer Output describes the pulse concept as a way to combine fat analog synths with recorded live instruments.

Up to four pulses can play at the same time, which makes it possible to build layered rhythmic textures from a single instrument.

Workflow, Rhythm Tools and Included Learning Material

SIGNAL includes rhythm tools such as a looper, step sequencers, arpeggiators and LFOs. All pulses lock to tempo, so modulation and patterns follow your session BPM.

The bundle also includes the Glow Expansion Pack, which adds 100 SIGNAL presets in dance and pop styles, and a Signal Fundamentals and Sound Design Course presented by Producertech tutor Rob Jones. The course videos include the presets Rob builds, so you can take them apart and study the settings.
