01Overview

OCELOT Upmixer is built for producers who need to widen a mono recording without losing mono compatibility. Fuse Audio Labs designed it to spread a single signal across the stereo field and frequency spectrum. Its controls include a Tune parameter, high- and low-pass filters and a switchable diffusion mode, so the upmix can be shaped to the source. It is part of the developer's Ocelot Series of effects.

Stereo Imaging and Tone Control

The Tune control adapts the upmix to the character of the source, whether it is a voice, a guitar or a drum mic. High- and low-pass filters let you limit which parts of the spectrum are widened, and the diffusion mode can be switched to change how the signal spreads.

Fuse Audio Labs says the plugin is designed to widen sound without adding metallic or hollow tones, and to keep the output phase-coherent. Mono compatibility is preserved, so the result should still hold up when the mix is folded down.

Metering and Workflow

The interface includes level and correlation metering and a vector scope, giving real-time feedback on stereo balance. The parameter set is kept intentionally simple.

The developer states the plugin has low CPU load and zero latency, which suits both mixing sessions and live use on stage.
