Sound and Character of the NYL 1926 Lite Piano

Boz Digital Labs describes the instrument as having a super resonant sound with a warm, rich tone that fills a small room. The developer says the piano keeps some unique and charming imperfections, which it presents as part of its personality.

The Model L is a mid-sized piano, just under six feet long. The developer positions it between a home instrument and a concert grand, with the warmth of a home piano and the power of a larger instrument. It is described as suited to classical, jazz, solo and ensemble playing.

Tone Shaping with the Three-Band EQ

The Lite version includes a 3 Band EQ, giving you a simple way to adjust the piano's tone inside your project. Use it to brighten or soften the instrument so it sits better in a mix.

The plugin is built for expressive playing, so the EQ and resonant character work best when you want a close, intimate piano sound rather than a large concert tone.
