Traditional Mongolian Vocal Styles in the Library
The library is split into three categories. The Female and Male categories are built on Urtiin duu, a long, drawn-out singing style with long syllables that the developer links to the open steppe landscape.
The Male Throat category uses Khoomei throat singing, which relies on guttural vibrations and circular breathing. The developer notes that it can produce resonant harmonies from two or three notes sung at the same time.
The vocals are live recorded and are not tied to a Western key. The developer says they are technically in a major key but can work with most other modes.
