Piano Sounds and Playing Character

Mini Grand includes seven selectable acoustic piano models, so you can move between different piano tones without loading separate instruments. AIR Music Technology says the samples are premium quality.

The plugin's re-pedaling technology is designed to recreate string resonance behavior. The developer presents this as a way to make sustained playing sound more realistic. Equal and stretched tuning options are also available, which lets you choose the tuning approach that suits the music.

Room Sound and Setup

A built-in room simulation adds acoustic space to the piano sound, which can help place it in a mix without an external reverb. Mini Grand is offered in VST3 and VST2 formats for Windows and macOS, so it can be loaded in most common DAWs that support those formats.

The crossgrade version requires an iLok account and License Manager to authorize the software. A physical iLok USB key is not required. Verification of your existing AIR or Pro Tools 8+ ownership happens through support before the serial number is added to your account.
