Sound Source and Character
Maraca is based on the tã, an idiophone of the Bribri Cabécar culture. Sounds of the Earth describes the traditional instrument as an oval gourd filled with seeds of corn or beans, or with river stones. The library captures that organic shaker character as Kontakt samples.
The eight microphone options let you choose how the instrument is recorded and placed in the mix, giving some control over tone and space without leaving Kontakt.
