Orchestral Sound and Recording Approach

Iconica was recorded at Funkhaus Berlin in partnership with Orchestral Tools. Steinberg describes the set as bringing modern orchestral expression to composers.

The bundle includes a new mix based on the original Orchestral Tools recordings. Several mic positions are provided for each instrument, so you can choose the perspective that suits a cue, from close detail to a more distant ensemble balance.

Libraries, Articulations and Storage

The Opus bundle combines the Iconica Sections and Players and Iconica Ensembles libraries into a single orchestral solution. Together they offer up to 500 articulations across up to 190 GB of compressed audio.

The size of the library means a large amount of free disk space is needed. The system requirements list 190 GB of free HD space, and an internet connection is required for activation, download and registration.
