Sound and Character of the Clay Triple Flute
The instrument draws on a pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican aerophone, a flute design the developer links to advanced indigenous musical technology. Because the instrument needs a larger volume of air than many other wind instruments, the developer notes that its phrases tend to be shorter. That breath-driven limit gives the sampled performance a natural, human rhythm.
The design can play one part at a time by covering the air duct of each inflating channel. This makes it a practical choice for monophonic lines and melodic fragments, where the phrasing reflects how the original instrument was played.
The sample library includes 4117 Kontakt sample files and 244 audio files, giving you a broad range of articulations to work with in a melodic context.
