The core of Flanger 117 is a BBD analog flanger simulation. Audiority describes it as an accurate reproduction of the M117's behavior, which gives the effect its characteristic modulation and depth.

The Manual, Width, Speed and Regen controls shape the sweep. Width sets how far the effect moves, Speed sets the modulation rate, and Regen adjusts the feedback that gives flanging its resonant, metallic peaks.

For more movement, the Dynamic Flanging option uses an envelope follower, so the sweep responds to the level of the incoming signal.
