Six Targeted Areas for Problem Frequencies
Detroubler divides its processing into six named areas. Boomy covers excessive low-frequency resonance, often around 100–250 Hz. Boxy targets a hollow, resonant sound, usually near 150–250 Hz. Muddy addresses overlapping frequencies between about 200 and 500 Hz. Honky covers a nasal midrange quality around 500–1500 Hz, Harsh targets piercing high-mids near 2–6 kHz, and Sizzle addresses high-frequency energy in the 8–12 kHz range.
Each area has its own orb around the main Detrouble knob. Click an orb to enable or disable processing for that area. Brighter orbs indicate more processing, and an orb with little activity means that area needs little or no gain reduction.
