01Overview

Damage Rock Grooves 2 is a drum groove collection from Heavyocity for producers writing heavy rock and metal. The loops are organized into Damaged, Metal and Hard Rock categories, and a set of snapshots mirrors the riff bank names in Damage Guitars 2, so grooves can be matched to riffs quickly. Each loop can be shaped with the Damage 2 Loop Designer, which gives control over layering and tweaking.

Groove Library and Stems

The library holds more than 910 grooves, and 228 of them are full loops supplied with three stems: Low, Mid and High. Heavyocity also describes breakout layers for kick drum, snare and percussion, and hi-hats and cymbals. Together, the full mixes and stems let you rebalance a groove or pull out only the parts you need.

The Damage Drum Kit is the sound source behind the grooves. Heavyocity describes the kit as punchy and aggressive, with the detail expected from its drum sounds.

Playback Engine and Presets

The Damage 2 engine provides a browser for loading more than 900 sources, either in octave banks or as individual sounds. You can add modulation and effects to single loops through a send FX layer, and a customizable master FX chain processes the full output.

The Punish knob has been redesigned with three settings: Gently Now, Hurt Me Plenty and Nightmare. The library includes 43 presets, made up of 42 curated groove presets and 18 presets arranged to work with Damage Guitars 2.
