Articulations and Playing Techniques

The instrument covers six primary articulations: Sustain, Palm Mute, Short Palm Mute, Harmonics, X-Note and Tappings. Two additional articulations, FX Sustain and FX Palm Mute, add effect-style variations for sustained and muted parts.

Up and down picking samples are included, so repeated riffs can follow a more realistic picking motion. Each note has eight round robins, which helps reduce the repetition that can appear when the same note is triggered many times in a row.

Cabal 8 Elements: Hi-Gain contains over 9800 hand-edited samples recorded at 48 kHz and 24-bit. MIDI is included, so the articulations can be played and sequenced from a MIDI keyboard or a DAW.

The instrument runs in Kontakt. The developer lists Kontakt 5.7.3 or higher as required, the full version of Kontakt rather than the free Kontakt Player, and 3.72 GB of hard drive space.
