Articulations and Expressive Playing
The library offers 12 playable articulations, covering sustained legato and pizzicato along with more unusual techniques. Wavelet Audio describes its non-standard articulations as including strumming with a credit card, a sul ponticello technique and percussion played on the cello body.
True legato is handled through a feature the developer calls Rebow, and a realistic vibrato algorithm adds movement to sustained notes. Short articulations were captured through what Wavelet Audio calls Repetition Sampling, recording real repetitions rather than isolated one-shots, which the developer says improves tightness and attack focus.
