01Overview

Cabal 8: Elements Bundle is part of the Cabal 8 Full library and is built around three 8-string guitars. The Hi-Gain and Crunch guitars are distorted and ready to play, while Cinematic offers a softer, semi-acoustic character. Wavelet Audio says the guitars use its signature sound with processing and FX chains already applied, so producers can start writing without building a signal chain first. The bundle runs inside Kontakt and includes MIDI, making it a direct option for riff writing, atmospheric beds and score work.

03In depth

Three 8-String Guitars with Ready-Made Tone

The bundle includes Hi-Gain, Crunch and Cinematic guitars. Wavelet Audio describes the Hi-Gain guitar as a fully released, distorted instrument for starting from scratch. Crunch is the first chapter of the Cabal 8: Elements series and produces a crunch tone from the 8-string guitar. Both are intended to be dropped into Kontakt and played without third-party processing.

Cinematic is the softest of the three. Wavelet Audio recorded an 8-string electric guitar through several effects chains, then applied post-recording effects to bring out an atmospheric character. The developer positions it for ambient, soft and indie-style scores, as well as TV, game and film-style beds.

Articulations and Playing Techniques

Each guitar offers six primary articulations: Sustain, Palm Mute, Short Palm Mute, Harmonics, X-Note and Tappings. Two additional articulations, FX Sustain and FX Palm Mute, extend the palette. Up and down picking are included, and each note has eight round robins to reduce repetition on repeated notes.

The library contains over 9800 hand-edited samples recorded at 48 kHz / 24-bit. Blackhole and Sparkverb reverb presets are included for the Cinematic guitar only.
